READING THE MARKET ITSELF

What the market was doing

Every other journal grades you against your own rules. OTIS grades you against the market that was actually there, which means it has to know what the market was doing. That read is a product in its own right, and you get it whether or not you ever take another trade.

Free. No card. Read-only access, always.

What is the market read?

Three things, sitting together. The regime is what this instrument is doing now, drawn from a model fitted on its own history, with a confidence attached and a note saying whether the regime is confirmed or still forming. The Oracle is the same-day directional read. Character is what this market habitually does: its average daily range, how often a day exceeds the one before it, how its opening range tends to behave.

The point is not prediction. It is that once the regime is on the record, every trade you took can be scored against the conditions it was taken in, and you find out afterwards whether you were trading with the market or against it.

The Markets tab in OTIS, showing the current regime tile for an instrument, how its history divides across the six regimes, and the recent-days intraday regime strip.
What the market was doing, per instrument. The tile is today. The strip underneath is the thirty days that day belongs to.

READING THE MARKET ITSELF

Stand on the right side of the trend

This is the part that stops being a mirror of your trades and becomes a read on the market. For every instrument you trade, you get the regime it is in now and which way the context is leaning, before you risk a dollar on it.

REGIME INDICATOR

What this market is doing right now

Every instrument you trade gets a tile: the regime, how confident the read is, how it has divided its history, what your own book has done in it, and the Oracle's call for the next session.

Real NQ data to 21 September 2026, not an illustration. Colour intensity is the model's confidence in that session. B is printed for both Bull and Bear, so colour separates them: green is Bull, orange is Bear. A blank cell has no classification on file. The tile beside it says MNQ because the model is fit on the full-size contract and micro traders are read against it.

THE ORACLE

The same-day directional read

It rides on the tile above as a chip, and it is scored as one of the seven context signals on every trade you take, so you find out afterwards whether you traded with it or against it.

Its quality page does not print a headline accuracy figure next to the signal, because a bare hit rate reads as a promise. It gives you the measurement with its sample beside it:

  • Overall hit rate, with the number of predictions it was evaluated on
  • A tier, rather than a raw percentage on its own
  • Hit rate split out for UP calls and DOWN calls separately
  • Predictions, hits and hit rate per direction, as a table

Filled in from your own instruments once your history is imported.

CHARACTER

What this instrument tends to do

Daily range statistics and initial-balance completion, read from the session shapes themselves rather than from a description of the market.

What this market tends to do before you risk anything on it, so the size you choose is a decision rather than a habit:

  • Average daily range, and the same figure over the last twenty days
  • How often a day exceeds the range of the day before it
  • The number of days the read is built on
  • Initial Balance breakdown, with the count of sessions classified

Filled in from your own instruments once your history is imported.

What is on the read

Per instrument you trade:

  • The current regime, one of six, with its own colour and its confidence
  • Whether that regime is confirmed or still forming, and its volatility rank
  • How the instrument's history divides across all six regimes
  • What your own book has done while trading in it
  • The Oracle's directional call for the next session, as a chip on the tile
  • Thirty days of intraday regimes, six sessions a day, colour graded by confidence

Why it is on your side

Your trades get scored against real conditions

The regime is one of the seven context signals on every autopsy, so "I fought the trend" becomes a fact rather than a suspicion.

Persistence is visible

Read down a column and you learn how a session behaves. Read across a row and you get the shape of one day.

Confidence is never hidden

A pale cell is the model telling you it is unsure. You are not handed a certainty that does not exist.

No accuracy figure is dangled at you

The Oracle's hit rate is reported with the sample it was measured on, never as a bare headline percentage, because a bare percentage reads as a promise.

How the read is built

1

Sessions are classified from five-minute candles

Six sessions a day, from Asia through to the close, each one assigned a regime and a confidence.

2

The model is fitted per instrument

On the full-size contract, so a micro trader is read against the same index.

3

Nothing is smoothed to look tidier

A session with no classification on file is left blank rather than filled in.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

See what is working, and the one thing to fix

Your diagnosis names the leak costing you the most and prices it in your own dollars. If you want a hand closing it, you get thirty days: a daily protocol built from your own leak, two live rooms a week with a clinical psychologist, and a re-grade at the end on the same axes, so you can see whether it moved.

THIRTY DAYS

One leak, worked daily

A protocol built from your own pattern, not a course. One thing to hold each morning, one mark each night, and a re-grade at the end. OTIS Plus is $299, once.

EVERY WEEK

Two rooms, and someone who has heard it before

Monday office hours on your own report, and four Wednesday sessions with Dr. Thébaud. Included, not an add-on.

NO RISK TO YOU

Thirty days money back, for any reason

Not conditional on your grade moving and not conditional on anything else. And the diagnosis itself stays free whatever you decide.

Got questions?

Are these signals I should trade?

No. There are no signals and no predictions anywhere in OTIS. This is context for grading what you already did.

Why does the tile say MNQ and the table say NQ?

The regime model is fitted on full-size contracts, and micro traders are read against the matching full-size one. It is the same index either way.

What if my instrument is not covered?

Then you are told so rather than shown a read built on nothing.

Your broker file already has the answer.

One export. Both scores, all twelve grades, your costliest leak priced in your own dollars.
